The triathalon training
I have decided that this year will also be a year to feel good and to get back into shape. In addition to soccer I have been "coerced" into participating in a triathalon with a group of friends from work. After my knee surgery this is definitely going to be a challenge! I said I would do it and I am registered so I suppose I am committed. I am biking every day, running at least twice a week, and swimming at least twice a week. I have no doubt that this will be an experience I will not forget, I guess we will see if it is a good or bad experience!!
A new beginning!
I have decided today that my goal for this year is to keep up on my blog better. I looked at it today and seeing the pictures of my Dad with us last year at Christmas made me realize how important it is to blog the big events as well as the little events in our lives, you never know how precious your time is with someone until it runs out. Wish me luck!!

Walking with Dinosaurs
Mom decided that we needed to go out as a family again so tonight Mom, Dad, Shawn, James and I and the kids went to Walking with Dinosaurs at the Energy Solutions Arena! What an incredible experience! The dinosaurs were so incredibly life like and animated that everyone was just riveted. It was so entertaining that the kids didn't even realize they were learning at the same time! Tyler loved the Triceratops, Teighan loved the T-Rex, Rylan loved the big ball of poo, and Mason believe it or not was facinated by the entire thing! We thought he would just zone out and get bored, but it was just the opposite. He hung his arms over the railing in front of us and just stared in amazement. He watched every dinosaur, following their every move! The T-Rex roar was a little more than he could handle though! It was an amazing performance. We ran into my boss and friend Lori and her family, they loved it too! Here are a few pics of the kids with their souvenirs! I forgot to take my camera with us to the performance...oops! Thanks mom, you are the best as always!
Mason was out cold after the show!

Back in school
So School started back up yesterday. I am actually looking forward to this semester, one of my classes is pathophysiology, (the study of the disease process). Call me nerdy, but I love that kind of stuff. I love being able to see a disease or condition one of my patient's has and being able to anticipate whats coming next. I enjoy going to school for the most part, expecially when I am actually learning new things. Overall though I can think of a few other things I would rather be doing. I keep telling myself..... 11 more months until graduation. I think I can.... I think I can... To top it all off I have decided to pursue a Master's degree. What?! More school?! Crazy I know, but I love what I do and I love the opportunities it affords my family and I!

Mason's "California adventure"
Mason was a little sick when we landed in California, but he got much worse as the trip went on. We ended up in the Rady Children's hospital ER on Christmas Eve, where I wish I had packed my stethescope!!!
Mason spent quite a bit of the trip tucked in mom's coat
On our way to the ER...
Mason does not like albuterol treatments!!
Merry Christmas Mason!
Christmas in California
What a whirlwind trip! 6 locations in 6 days! Disneyland, California Adventure, Universal Studios, Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, and Imperial beach in Coronado. This was a trip that we will remember forever! Everyone had their favorite parts of the trip, I have trouble deciding, I just truly enjoyed being with my family at a very magical place at a very magical time. Thanks mom for making this the best Christmas ever!
